Welcome to Sherrington House Nursing Home. We provide services that allow our ladies and gentlemen an enjoyable life with maximum independence and dignity in safe and comfortable surroundings. This is achieved by providing the appropriate degree of care and support necessary to meet the individual needs of each person.
We believe the individual care matched with a happy, homely environment encourages a fulfilled healthy life and we offer lounge and dining areas on all floors, a reading room and a conservatory on the top floor.
At Sherrington House we aim to provide care which is tailored to the needs of each and every person who lives with us. We will always do our best to make sure that every individual is cared for with dignity and respect. We will encourage and support people to make choices and decisions for themselves so that they remain in charge of their lives. I believe it is important that peoples’ rights are protected at all times and that the home and our staff are the protectors of safety and rights for residents.

We are open 7 Days a week from
9.30am – 8.00pm*. Latest arrival by 7.00pm
Please book in advance & arrive promptly.
*Excluding Protected Mealtimes
Mealtimes: 8.30am – 9.30am
12.30pm – 1.30pm • 4.30pm – 6.00pm
Any variation to these times is by arrangement with the registered manager.
Championing Quality Living at Sherrington House Nursing Home
The accommodation consists of furnished single and double rooms, most with en-suite facilities, a nurse call system in operation TV and telephone points in each room ( private phone numbers can be arranged on request). Assisted shower and bath facilities.
We offer lounge and dining areas on all floors, a reading room and a conservatory on the top floor.
Outside we have parking to the front and a courtyard to the rear of the house.
We specialise in younger adults with neurological illnesses i.e MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurones.

Our dedicated team of experienced carers, nurses and support staff at Lister and Sherrington House work tirelessly to create homely environments in a highly professional care setting. We are proud of our reputation as an exemplary care home where residents and visitors really feel ‘at home’ as soon as they step through the door. We would be delighted to show you around a home we’re all proud of in our quiet corner of Bradford.
Our concern is to provide facilities for non-institutionalised care to provide a caring and professionally administered home with privacy and confidentiality respected at all times, though a homely happy atmosphere coupled with dignity and understanding.

My mum was transferred to Sherrington House from an NHS hospital on 23 September for continued palliative care. The home’s administration throughout has been outstanding as has the quality of care she has received since arrival. Sherrington’s facilities are first class and all the staff are lovely people and their work is beyond excellent. I would recommend Sherrington House to anyone and everyone. On behalf of the family, I would like to say a massive thank you to the team leader and all her colleagues for all their help and support in looking after Mum’s transfer and providing her ongoing care.
