On Friday, Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes joined the nation in supporting BBC Children in Need. Clients and staff alike had a wonderful time participating in fun activities and games.

To mark the occasion, the homes were adorned with colourful flags and banners featuring Pudsey the Bear. Staff and clients showed their support by wearing bright yellow Children in Need t-shirts.

A fundraising bucket was also placed prominently, encouraging everyone to contribute to this worthy cause. All the money raised will go directly to BBC Children in Need to help disadvantaged children across the UK.

It was a truly enjoyable day for everyone involved.

The homes were transformed with Halloween decorations, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy. There were no tricks, just delicious treats to enjoy!

Residents even unleashed their inner artists, creating beautiful Diwali-themed masterpieces with colouring sheets.

Yesterday, Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes showed their support for Breast Cancer Now charity with a fun-filled Wear it Pink event. Residents, staff, and families donned their finest pink attire for an afternoon filled with delicious treats, lively games of bingo, and other activities.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Breast Cancer Now, a fantastic charity that funds life-saving research and provides vital support for people living with breast cancer.

Students from St Philips CE Academy in Lilycroft brightened the day of residents at Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes with a heartwarming visit. The children shared their own poems from The Little Book of Hope, a collection they had written especially for the residents.

Building Bridges Between Generations

This delightful visit is part of our ongoing partnership with St Philips School through the Linking Network Intergenerational Linking program. This initiative fosters connections between young people and older adults, bridging the generation gap and promoting understanding.
